This Privacy Policy explains how PlaySmart collects, uses, shares, and protects information when parents, guardians, babysitters, and other authorized users use the PlaySmart mobile application and related services.

1. About PlaySmart
PlaySmart helps families coordinate babysitting. Parents or guardians can create accounts, add child profiles, view registered babysitters, explore sitter locations, request bookings, receive confirmation codes, and message sitters. Babysitters can create profiles, appear in the sitter directory, manage upcoming bookings, and communicate with families.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use PlaySmart, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, login details, account type, and profile settings.
- Parent or guardian profile information: family profile details, booking preferences, saved sitter information, and communication preferences.
- Babysitter profile information: profile name, photo if uploaded, availability, service area, experience, bio, verification status, and other information added to a sitter profile.
- Child profile information: child name or nickname, age, care notes, scheduling details, and other information a parent or guardian chooses to provide for childcare coordination.
- Booking information: requested dates and times, booking status, confirmation codes, sitter assignments, cancellation details, and related coordination records.
- Messages and communications: messages exchanged between parents, guardians, and babysitters inside PlaySmart, as well as support communications.
- Location information: approximate or precise location information when needed to show sitter locations, service areas, or booking-related location details, depending on device permissions and app settings.
- Device and usage information: device type, operating system, app version, log data, crash reports, diagnostics, feature usage, and security-related information.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to operate, improve, and protect PlaySmart, including to:
- Create and manage user accounts and profiles.
- Display babysitter profiles and sitter location information to families.
- Support booking requests, confirmations, scheduling, and booking management.
- Allow parents, guardians, and babysitters to communicate through the app.
- Manage child profiles for care coordination.
- Send service-related messages, alerts, confirmation codes, and support responses.
- Maintain app security, prevent misuse, debug errors, and improve performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable app policies.
4. Child Profile Information
PlaySmart is designed for parents, guardians, babysitters, and authorized caregivers. Children should not create accounts or use PlaySmart directly. Child profile information is provided by a parent, guardian, or authorized user for childcare coordination purposes only.
Parents or guardians should only add child information that is necessary for scheduling and care coordination. If you believe child information was provided without proper authorization, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
5. How Information Is Shared
We may share information in the following situations:
- Between families and babysitters: profile, booking, location, confirmation, and message information may be shared with the users involved in a booking or booking request.
- With service providers: trusted vendors may help us provide hosting, storage, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, maps, security, or customer support.
- For safety, legal, or security reasons: we may share information when necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect users, investigate misuse, or protect the rights and safety of PlaySmart and others.
- With your consent: we may share information when you direct us to do so or give us permission.
- Business transfers: if PlaySmart is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use child profile information for advertising.
6. Location Information
PlaySmart may use location information to help families explore sitter locations or service areas and to help coordinate bookings. You can control app location permissions through your device settings. Some location-based features may not work correctly if location access is disabled.
7. Third-Party Services
PlaySmart may use third-party services for functions such as cloud hosting, authentication, maps, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and in-app messaging. These services may process information on our behalf according to their own privacy terms and our instructions.
If PlaySmart adds advertising, additional analytics, payment processing, background checks, or other third-party tools in the future, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures should be updated before release.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide PlaySmart, maintain booking records, resolve disputes, support safety and security, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our policies. When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, de-identify it, or retain it only as legally required.

If you use PlaySmart outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your location. By using PlaySmart, you understand that information may be processed and stored where PlaySmart or its service providers operate.
